Phillip Summers

Phillip Summers is an experienced professional currently serving as Associate Director and Grants and Contracts Manager at Wake Forest University since January 2023. Previously, Phillip worked as a Project Manager at Wake Forest Baptist Health, focusing on the RO1 Preventing Agricultural Chemical Exposures (PACE5) project from August 2020 to January 2023. Phillip also held a temporary position for COVID-19 contact tracing at The Forsyth County Health Department in mid-2020. Prior roles include Monitor at City with Dwellings and Bus Driver at Winston-Salem Transit Authority, along with a long tenure at Wake Forest School of Medicine from April 2010 to January 2019, where Phillip was an Associate Director in the Program in Community Engagement and a Research Associate. Phillip holds a Master of Public Health in Public Health Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
