Mayakumar Vembunarayanan

Mayakumar Vembunarayanan is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in developing and managing engineering teams across multiple prominent companies. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Walmart since January 2023, Mayakumar oversees the Transportation vertical, focusing on First Mile, Middle Mile, and Last Mile Systems. Previous roles include Director of Engineering at BlockFi, where Mayakumar led the User Domain team, and multiple director and managerial positions at Walmart, where responsibilities ranged from leading various transportation initiatives to managing core services in Last Mile Delivery. Additional experience includes senior development roles at Atlassian and PayPal, as well as foundational roles at Merrill Lynch and Wipro Technologies. Mayakumar holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Madras University.
