James Greene has a diverse work history, starting in 2004 as a Flight Records and Current Operations officer at the 89th Operation Support Squadron. James then served as a Platoon Leader in the 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team and as a Medical Platoon Leader in the 4-23 IN. In 2010, they became a Project Manager at the Army Medical Information Technology Center. From 2011 to 2013, they served as the HHC/H Co Commander at the 232d Medical Battalion. James then became the CIO/S6 at the 121st Combat Support Hospital from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, from 2014 to 2016, they were the Deputy CIO at USAMRIID. In 2016, they became an Assistant Project Manager at USAMMA and then served as the Director and CIO, Information Management Division at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research starting in 2017.

James Greene holds a Master of Science degree in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, obtained between 2004 and 2006. James also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from National Louis University, earned from 2000 to 2002.
