Michael Joustra has a diverse work experience. Michael started their career in 2007 as a Journalist, Sales & Marketing employee at NDC mediagroep, where they worked until 2009. Michael then joined Submarine as an Intern in Sales, Marketing & PR, where they gained experience in promoting and generating publicity for events. In 2013, Michael joined BALR. as a Social Media & PR Specialist, responsible for both online and offline marketing. Michael also served as the Head of Influencer Marketing, leading a team of 4 employees and achieving milestones such as reaching over 1 million Instagram followers. In 2018, Michael began working at Wannahaves as the Head of Influencer Marketing and Global Partnerships Manager, where they developed social media strategies and created content for various brands including 433, BALR., Nike, Adidas, Puma, and Red Bull. Currently, they hold the position of Sr. Global Partnership Manager at 433.

Michael Joustra obtained a Bachelor's degree in Media and Entertainment Management from Stenden University Leeuwarden. Michael completed this degree from 2009 to 2013. In addition, they have obtained a certification in HBO Media & Entertainment Management from NHL Stenden Hogeschool in May 2016. Before their Bachelor's degree, Michael had obtained a certification in MBO Marketing & Communication from Friesland College in January 2009.
