Melanie Tom

Melanie Tom, MSHRM, currently serves as the Director of People & Culture at Warner Bros. Discovery, focusing on HR for WBD Legal since April 2022. Previously, Melanie held the position of Director of Human Resources at WarnerMedia, providing HR support for the General Counsel from August 2020 to April 2022. Melanie's experience at Warner Bros. Entertainment spans from September 2013 to August 2020, where roles included Director and Senior Manager of Human Resources, along with managerial positions in HR business partnering for WB Home Entertainment. Prior to that, Melanie worked as a Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant at DIRECTV and Manager of Social Recruitment & Employment Branding at TESCO Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, Inc. Beginning a career at The Walt Disney Company from May 2007 to April 2011, Melanie held several HR coordinator roles. Melanie holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Sociology and a minor in Education from the University of California, Riverside.
