Sherri T.

Sherri T. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sherri began their career at the City of Atlanta in 1994, where they worked in operations until 1998. Following that, they joined the US Department of Commerce, Census2000 as a Recruiter/Area Manager, responsible for overseeing operations in several Census offices. In 2000, they returned to the City of Atlanta as a Senior Human Resources Executive for the major water utility, where they played a significant role in transforming the organizational culture and addressing human capital needs. In 2019, Sherri joined the Anne Arundel County Government as a Personnel Officer. Currently, they hold the position of EVP & Chief People Officer at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), where they previously served as SVP & Chief Human Capital Officer.

Sherri T. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Spelman College. Sherri also has a Master's degree in Political Management from The George Washington University and an MPA in City Administration from Valdosta State University. Additionally, Sherri has certifications as a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional from the Society for Human Resources Management and as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
