MD, Human Resources at Water Environment Federation

Larissa Hanpeter is the current MD of Human Resources at the Water Environment Federation. Larissa has previous experience working as a Senior Global Compensation Analyst at Bechtel Corporation from May 2021 to November 2021. There, they led Volunteer recruitment and program development for the leading local Human Resources association in Northern Virginia. Larissa also developed and implemented the NOVA SHRM Members In Transition (MIT) program with Alexandria Virginia Employment Commission (VEC). Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Human Resources at ARServices from August 2017 to May 2021. There, they led Company Human Resources operations, including Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Human Capital, Employee Relations, Total Rewards and Compliance for government contractor of choice providing Business Transformation Services, Integrated Logistics Services and Research & Development Support Services to the federal government. From May 2015 to April 2018, they worked as a Brau Ambassador at DC Brau Brewing LLC. And finally, from February 2011 to August 2017, they worked as the Director of Shared Services in the Human Resources Department at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington.

They are on a team with Raymond Bianchi - MD, Business Development, Corporate Sales & Industry Relations, Lisa Ruane - Senior Director, Association Engagement, and Steve Harrison - Senior Manager, Operator Programs. and Emily Washabaugh - Senior Manager, Human Resources reports to Larissa Hanpeter. Larissa Hanpeter reports to Walter Marlowe, Executive Director.
