Laurence Byrne

Innovation Lab - Explorer (transformational Innovation) at WaterAid

Laurence Byrne has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Starting in 2008, Laurence worked as a Communications and Fundraising Assistant (Internship) at the National AIDS Trust. In 2009, they joined Breast Cancer Campaign as a Community Assistant/Supporter Care Assistant. From 2011 to 2013, Laurence served as the Community Development & Communications Manager at The Honeypot Children's Charity. They then returned to Breast Cancer Campaign, where they held the positions of Community Fundraising Manager from 2013 to 2014 and Project Manager from 2014 to 2015. Moving on to Breast Cancer Now, Laurence worked as the Tributes Manager (Product and Marketing) from 2015 to 2016. They then joined Prostate Cancer UK, where they held the role of Product Development Manager - Community Fundraising from 2017 to 2018, as well as Innovation Research from 2018 to 2018. Laurence's most recent position was at WaterAid, where they served as the Innovation and Strategic Engagement Senior Manager from 2018 to 2021 before becoming the Innovation and Strategic Engagement Lead from 2021 to 2022. Currently, they are working as an Innovation Lab - Explorer (Transformational Innovation) at WaterAid, starting in 2023.

Laurence Byrne completed their undergraduate education from Aberystwyth University, where they earned a degree with a 2.1 classification in History. Laurence attended the university from 2005 to 2008.
