Shane Morgan

Shane Morgan has extensive experience in the water and environmental industry. Shane currently holds the position of Executive Leader Environmental & Industrial at Urban Utilities, which they began in 2021.

Prior to this role, Shane was the Chief Operations Officer at Watercare Services Limited, where they led a team of 400 water professionals and played a key role in the Strategic Transformation Programme. Shane also served as the Operations Manager for Wastewater, overseeing the successful operation of multiple wastewater treatment plants and leading the digitization efforts of the business.

Shane has also held various positions at companies such as Lutra, CH2M HILL, Queensland Urban Utilities, Melbourne Water, Watercare Services Limited, The University of Queensland, and Opus International Consultants Limited. Shane'sroles at these organizations involved project management, leadership, and operational responsibilities in the fields of wastewater treatment, water quality, and environmental engineering.

Shane Morgan pursued their education at The University of Auckland, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Engineering Science. Shane attended the university from 1991 to 1995. Later, they furthered their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Engineering (ME) degree in Civil and Resource Engineering from 1995 to 1996.
