Lamont K Barnes, M.Ed. has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Lamont K currently serves as the Regional Vice President Community Engagement - South at Waterford.org. Previously, they were the Director of Operations at Peter Paul, where they managed all logistical and operational aspects of the organization. Prior to that, Lamont worked for the City of Richmond, Virginia in various roles, including Juvenile Behavioral Health Docket Coordinator, Mayor's Youth Academy Acting Program Director, Mayor's Youth Academy Human Services Coordinator, and Truancy Supervisor. Lamont K also had a brief stint as an Operations Supervisor at the Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. Earlier in their career, Lamont worked as a Special Education Teacher for the County of Henrico and held multiple positions with the City of Richmond, including Drug Court Coordinator, Human Services Administrator, Community Services Representative, and Outreach Counselor. Through these roles, Lamont demonstrated their expertise in program management, budgeting, personnel coordination, and community engagement.

Lamont K Barnes, M.Ed. earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Minor in Special Education and Biology from Virginia Union University in the years 1990 to 1993. Lamont K then pursued a Master of Education degree in Community Health Services/Liaison/Counseling from Virginia State University, completing it in the years 1995 to 1996.
