Jane Tjia Atkins

Jane Tjia Atkins has a diverse work experience spanning over different biotech companies. Jane started their career as a Research Associate at Genetics Institute in 1993 before moving to Intercytex in 2002, where they worked as a Senior Scientist/R&D Project Manager until 2009. Atkins then joined Biogen in 2010, holding various roles such as Sr. Program Manager, Associate Director, and Director until 2016. Jane is currently the VP, Program Leader & Head of Portfolio & Program Management at Wave Life Sciences, where they have been since 2016, progressing from the role of Director to Sr. Director before reaching their current position.

Jane Tjia Atkins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Jane further pursued their education at Rutgers University, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Tissue Engineering. Following that, Jane completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Tissue Engineering at the Center for Engineering in Medicine & Surgery-MGH, Harvard Medical School & Shriners Hospital For Children. In 2019, they also obtained a certification in Engaging Leadership from ZMCoach.
