Priyanthi Dassanayake

Priyanthi Dassanayake has diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Priyanthi is currently working as an Android Developer at Waymap starting from May 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Junior Android Developer at The Access Group from September 2020 to May 2021. From 2016 to 2020, Priyanthi worked as a Researcher at the University of Derby/Rolls Royce, where they focused on developing a self-correcting system for vessel station keeping using a bio-inspired algorithm and smart data analysis.

Before their research role, Priyanthi gained experience as an Android Developer, starting in November 2014 and ending in March 2019. During this period, they developed commercial mobile applications, including hybrid mobile apps, Android apps, and web apps, while also conducting research on developing firmware for machine learning.

In 2013, Priyanthi worked at Quest Information Systems as a Mobile Developer, participating in the full product lifecycle and adhering to Objective-C, Android NDK, and Android System tree best practices. Priyanthi also worked as an Internet Assessor at Lionbridge from January 2013 to January 2014.

Prior to their technical roles, Priyanthi worked as a Technical/Academic Writer at Prospect Solutions. Here, they delivered system specifications and prototypes for hidden file detection systems and enhanced an economic model for detecting factors affecting housing market bubbles.

Additionally, Priyanthi worked as a Maths Tutor at Top Tutors Ltd from January 2010 to January 2014 and as an Administrator at East London Business College from June 2011 to September 2011.

Priyanthi'seducational experience includes being a student at the University of Hertfordshire from 2010 to 2011.

Priyanthi Dassanayake has a diverse education history.

From 1986 to 2001, they attended Mahamaya Girls College, where they pursued their A/L degree in Mathematics.

In 2003, they enrolled at the University of Kelaniya and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Technology in 2007.

Moving forward, from 2010 to 2012, Priyanthi pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management Information Systems and Services at the University of Hertfordshire.

Most recently, they have been attending the University of Leicester since 2019 and is expected to finish their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science in 2022.
