Steve Gilsdorf

Steve Gilsdorf has extensive work experience in operations and maintenance, facilities management, and facility support. Steve currently holds the position of Sr. Director of Operations & Maintenance at Wayne State University since October 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Western Michigan University for almost a decade, where they served as Sr. Director of Facilities Management and Director of Building Custodial and Support Services. Steve was responsible for managing millions of square feet of space, overseeing large teams of employees, and handling significant budgets. Before their time at Western Michigan University, Steve worked at SSC Service Solutions as an Operations Manager, where they managed daily operations for various regional shopping malls and educational facilities across the country. Overall, Steve Gilsdorf has a strong background in facilities and operations management.

Steve Gilsdorf obtained a Master's degree in Organizational Change Leadership from Western Michigan University between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Cornerstone University from 1993 to 1997. Steve also holds a certification in CEFP from APPA - Leadership in Educational Facilities.
