Summary: The Manager will assist the Fund Operations team in the management of ongoing oversight of fund reporting provided to Waystone Management Company (WMC) and will be an integral part of the team’s success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and exemplify a joined-up oversight program overseeing fund administrators, depositaries and where necessary portfolio managers
Engage in the key Valuation oversight for underlying funds, which includes:
Communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction with the service provided and to resolve any potential issues.
Assist with the design and implementation of internal and operating controls (especially in relation to UCITS & AIFMD monitoring and reporting)
Liaise closely with the various internal teams, covering Compliance, Relationship Management, Onboarding and Risk teams to evaluate the efficacy of the delegates
Actively question methods and processes with the key to making the team more effective and efficient
Establish standards of service for customers and lead quality of service
Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedural manuals that contribute to the efficiency of the department while also ensuring timely and accurate delivery of service and regulatory compliance
Actively participate in meetings, prepare and attend technical training
Work with the Onboarding team to ensure efficient operational set up for new fund launches
Support the business to identify, assess, manage and measure operational risks in accordance with the relevant regulatory policies.
Demonstrate holistic perspective of operational risk for the complete product life cycle.
Assist in the development, testing, implementation of software that contributes to the efficiency of the department
Aspire to be the technical expert in UCITS, AIFMD & funds, especially with respect to valuation and supervision of costs
Assist in the people management of individual contributors
Foster positive team environment and ensure open communication
Keep abreast of all regulatory changes
REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education:
An internationally recognized professional Third level qualification;
Preference (but not a requirement) for a professional qualification (e.g., accounting, CFA)
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years experience in the funds / management company / investment management industry;
An excellent understanding of investment fund / management company operations;
Self-Starter with clarity of analysis and of expression, both written and oral;
Excellent interpersonal and Client Management Skills;
Excellent Presentation and Communication Skills; · Experiencing of Short to Medium Term Project Management, demonstrated achieving targets;
Outstanding time management, organizational skills, oral/written communication skills, critical thinking and attention to detail is required;
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment including reporting and providing support to various members of the team.
