Jacob Lanier

Jacob Lanier is a skilled meteorologist currently employed at WDAF-TV FOX4 in Kansas City since May 2022, where contributions strengthen the weather team's severe weather experience and support the "Most Accurate Forecast" certification. Prior to this, Jacob served as the morning meteorologist at WJTV 12, enhancing digital engagement for Storm Team 12 and leading comprehensive severe weather coverage. Additionally, experience as a weekend/noon meteorologist at WVUA 23 involved preparing and delivering weather forecasts, while radio meteorologist duties included broadcast forecasts across multiple iHeartMedia radio stations. Jacob's foundational training was completed at Mississippi State University, where a Bachelor of Science in Professional Meteorology with a Broadcast Emphasis was earned.
