Vineet Singh

Vineet Singh has extensive experience in data science and analytics, with a focus on driving revenue through data products and innovations. VINEET is currently the Chief Data Officer at Wealthfront since March 2019. Prior to that, they held the role of Chief Data Officer and SVP at Move, Inc from March 2016 to present, where they led various teams in data science, analytics, A/B testing, engineering, and web/mobile instrumentation. VINEET also played a key role in developing a scalable platform for data capture, aggregation, data access, and data quality. Before that, Vineet founded a consumer finance startup in stealth mode where they served as the Chief Data Officer from September 2014 to 2015.

In their earlier years, Vineet gained valuable experience at Intuit, where they held multiple roles including VP Data Science & Analytics and Director, Data Innovation, Analytics, & Engineering from August 2007 to October 2014. During their time at Intuit, they created and led various key groups within the central data organization and made significant revenue impact through product and marketing innovations. Prior to Intuit, Vineet worked at Hewlett-Packard as the Americas and Global Business Intelligence Practice Principal from 2003 to 2007, and at HP Labs as a Senior Manager of Business Intelligence Research & Development from 1999 to 2002.

Vineet's career also includes roles at Hitachi Research as the Chief Data Scientist from 1996 to 1998, at IBM Research as a Senior Member of Research Staff from December 1995 to January 1997, at MCC (Microelectronics & Computer Technology Corporation) as a Senior Researcher from April 1988 to October 1991, and at Schlumberger Palo Alto Research as a Member of Research Staff from 1985 to 1987.

Vineet Singh began their education at St. Xavier's from 1965 to 1974, during which no degree or field of study was specified. VINEET then attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1974-1975, although the degree obtained during this period is not mentioned. Vineet pursued a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur from 1975 to 1979. VINEET then went on to complete a Master of Science in Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1979 to 1981. Finally, they obtained a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University between 1981 and 1988.
