Rachel Peterson

Rachel Peterson has a diverse work history in the media industry. Rachel began their career in 1999 as an Edit Coordinator/Chyron Operator/Weather Producer for Fox Broadcasting Company. In 2001, they moved to Journal Broadcast Group (division of Journal Communications) as a Weekend Meterologist & Reporter for KIVI. In 2004, Rachel became a Weekend Meteorologist for WFMY at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK. In 2006, they joined WeatherBug as a Sr. Sales Account Manager & Marketing Associate, then moved up to Manager Account Management and Client Services Team Lead. In 2016, WeatherBug was acquired by GroundTruth, and Rachel continued their role as Team Lead for Client Services, managing the AdOps team and acting as a Senior Account Manager.

Rachel Peterson completed their Bachelor's degree in Communication from Southern Utah University in 1999. Rachel then went on to earn their Master's in Geoscience from Mississippi State University in 2003, with a field of study in Meteorology.
