Mary Wasson

Mary Wasson is an experienced meteorologist currently serving as a meteorologist at the San Antonio Express-News and a freelance meteorologist for KCEN 6 News and Oncor Electric Delivery since June 2023. With a background that includes freelance weather reporting for KUT Public Media and creative content development for weatherTAP Inc., Mary has consistently demonstrated the ability to break down complex weather data into engaging forecasts suitable for various audiences. Prior experience includes a significant role as a meteorologist and news anchor at Spectrum, where daily operations of a 24-hour news station were managed, and earlier roles at WTVQ and KEVN, where weather presentation and multimedia reporting were key responsibilities. Mary holds a Master of Science in Meteorology from Mississippi State University and a BA in Communications/Electronic Media from Morehead State University.
