Joe Petrowski

Joe Petrowski is currently the Polkadot Runtime Team Lead at Web3 Foundation, overseeing work on the Polkadot runtime, including Substrate FRAME, XCM, Bridges, and system architecture. Prior to this role, Joe was the System Parachains Team Lead and Technical Integrations Lead. With experience as a Research Analyst at Parity Technologies and as a Co-Founder at Aleph Mining, Joe has a background in building infrastructure for the decentralized web and Ethereum mining. Joe also has prior experience as an Elite Cyclist and Engineer at ULA - United Launch Alliance - Lockheed Martin & Boeing and as an Intern at General Electric. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
