Alexis K. Barnes Mph

Alexis K. Barnes, MPH has a diverse work experience in various organizations and roles. Starting in 2014, Alexis worked as a Newsroom Intern at WSVI-Channel 8 and as a Freelancer for VICE Media, LLC. In 2015, Alexis joined Akros - Global Health as an Advocacy & Communications Officer, managing a DFID-funded campaign in Zambia. From 2016 to 2019, Alexis worked at USAID as a Chief Information Officer, supporting development initiatives in Haiti. In 2020, Alexis became a Digital Communications Specialist at the USAID - Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, focusing on the Middle East and Northern Africa. In 2021, Alexis served as a Public Health Liaison at The Color of Health, researching and raising awareness about health disparities. In 2022, Alexis joined the CDC Foundation as a Program Manager with the Anne Arundel County Department of Health. Currently, Alexis is a Vice President of Global Health at Weber Shandwick.
