Danielle Cornejo Calhoun, M.S. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Danielle currently works at Weber Shandwick as the Vice President, Partnerships + Pipeline Programming, DEI, where they focus on creating innovative programs to diversify the company's talent pipeline. Danielle collaborates with senior DEI leadership, HR, and local market leadership to attract and engage under-represented candidates. Danielle also serves as the Founding Chair of the equitABLE Business Resource Group.

Previously, Danielle worked as the Vice President, Inclusive Practices at Weber Shandwick, where they partnered with senior leadership, HR, and Talent Acquisition to promote diversity and inclusion throughout the talent journey. Danielle actively supported junior talent, especially within the BIPOC community. Prior to that, they held the role of Vice President, Platform Strategy at Weber Shandwick, where they led digital and social strategies for tech and consumer brands, specializing in earned, social, and paid media. Danielle also co-led the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee for the West coast and served on the North America DEI Council.

Danielle's digital expertise extends beyond Weber Shandwick. Danielle worked as the Director, Digital at a company called Creation: Open Minds and held various digital management positions, including Senior Manager and Manager, at Weber Shandwick. Additionally, they worked as a Digital Media Director and Public Policy Associate at Cater Communications, where they supported clean energy policies and led digital and social media strategies.

Outside of their professional career, Danielle founded Chick Lit & Wine, a book review website that paired chick lit novels with wine recommendations. Danielle served as Founder/Editor and managed all aspects of the website, including writing reviews, designing graphics, and engaging with fans on social media. Danielle also organized yearly events in partnership with Book Passage and local businesses.

Danielle has a background in education as well. Danielle worked as a Social Media Instructor at MarinTV / Community Media Center of Marin and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Denver. Danielle also volunteered as a Copywriter and Features Profile Author for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Earlier in their career, Danielle interned at The Brand Genesis and Mayor John Hickenlooper's office, where they gained experience in social media strategy and communications.

Throughout their work experience, Danielle has consistently demonstrated a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, leveraging their expertise to create meaningful change within organizations and communities.

Danielle Cornejo Calhoun, M.S. holds a Master of Science degree in Public Relations from the University of Denver. Prior to this, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from Kansas State University, with a focus on Public Relations. Danielle also has a certification in Studio and Field Video Production, which they obtained from the Community Media Center of Marin. In addition, Danielle has studied Spanish Language and Literature at Tecnológico de Monterrey.

In terms of additional certifications, Danielle is a Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Certified Nonprofit Professional, which they obtained in May 2008 from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
