Leanne James has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Leanne started their career as a Regional Administrative Manager at Entertainment Publications in 1994 and worked there until 1997. Leanne then joined Ubarter.com as the Director of HR & Administration for a year. In 1999, Leanne became the Branch Administrative Manager at GPC International, a strategic communications firm, where they stayed until 2002. Leanne then moved on to APEX Public Relations, where they served as the SVP of HR & Administration for almost a decade. In 2012, Leanne took on the role of SVP of Human Capital Development & Administration at Women's Executive Network (WXN), a leading organization for the advancement and recognition of women in management positions. In 2013, they also worked as the SVP at the Canadian Board Diversity Council (CBDC) to drive increased diversity on corporate boards. In 2015, Leanne co-founded jr|tr+associates, a consultancy firm specializing in optimizing employee and team performance. Their most recent role is as the VP of People - Canada at Weber Shandwick since 2018. Throughout their career, Leanne has demonstrated expertise in human resources, administration, organizational development, and workforce transformation.

Leanne James has a diverse education history. In 1994, they obtained a BA degree in English & Humanities from Western University. In 2010, Leanne received MBTI Certification focusing on "Using Type to Optimize Leadership" and "Conflict in the Workplace." The following year, they attended Adler International Learning, where they completed courses on "Foundations of Coaching & Coaching in the Context of Work." In 2012, they obtained a Change Management Certification from AdPro, specializing in a goal-oriented change management model for individual and organizational change.

Looking towards the future, in 2023, Leanne is expected to complete the iEQ9 Level 1 Accreditation from Integrative 9 Ennegram Solutions. Additionally, they plan to pursue further education at Integrative Enneagram Solutions, obtaining iEQ9 Enneagram Level 1 Accreditation and Enneagram Coaching certification.

Leanne also has ongoing education and skill development through HRPAO, where they are studying various topics such as training and development, recruitment and selection, organizational behavior, and human resources management.
