Jason Soto is the current Chief Credit Risk Officer at Webster Bank. Jason has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on credit risk.

Jason started their career in 1995 as an Investment Analyst at Prudential Capital Group. Jason was selected to participate in 2 different management development programs and completed a 3 month credit training program. In 1999, Jason joined GE Capital as a Managing Director - Credit Risk Process Architect. Jason was recruited by the GE Capital Deputy CRO to help drive the transformation of the risk organization to be more centralized, consistent, and better prepared to operate in a regulated environment. Jason led a team that developed a new risk ratings framework for GECC globally. The project included calculation methodology, implementation standards, systems infrastructure, reporting and governance.

In October 2015, Jason joined Webster Bank as the Chief Credit Risk Officer. In this role, Jason is responsible for leading Webster Bank’s credit risk management function and developing strategies to manage credit risk across the organization.

Jason Soto has a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University and is certified as a Chartered Financial Analyst ("CFA") from the CFA Institute.

Jason Soto reports to John R. Ciulla, Chairman, President & CEO. They work with Vikram Nafde - EVP, CIO, Javier L. Evans - Chief Human Resources Officer, and Beatrice Ordonez - Chief Innovation Officer.
