Hans Ramsl has worked in a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2010. In 2010, they were a Backend Developer and Undergraduate Student Researcher at Heidelberg Mobil International. In 2013, they were a Master Thesis Student at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS), researching and developing Local Coherence Modeling, Topic Modeling and Knowledge Extraction from Wikipedia. From 2014 to 2022, Hans Ramsl worked at SAP, where they held various roles including Senior Data Scientist, Chief of Staff to SVP Cloud Platform Business Services, Data Scientist and Natural Language Processing Engineer. In 2022, they began working as a Success Machine Learning Engineer at Weights & Biases. From 2015 to 2020, they were also a Computer Science Teacher at Freie Christliche Schulen Neulußheim e.V. (Markus-Schulen).

Hans Ramsl completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Computational Linguistics at Heidelberg University in 2012, after studying there from 2008. Hans then went on to obtain their Master of Arts (MA) in the same field from Heidelberg University in 2014.
