Elizabeth Charles is the Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Elizabeth is responsible for creating and implementing policies that enable the firm to build an increasingly inclusive culture, one that attracts, promotes and retains people from every part of society. These policies and practices are vital in ensuring that each member of the firm is empowered to bring a diverse range of perspectives to their work, better positioning WeirFoulds to represent clients across every one of its practice areas.

A highly qualified expert in her field, Elizabeth is a Ph.D. candidate in Social Justice Education & Workplace Learning and Social Change, and holds an M. Ed in Leadership, Higher and Adult Education. Prior to joining the firm, Elizabeth was the Vice President of People, Culture & Equity at a non-profit organization where she developed, led and oversaw the implementation of programs, initiatives and strategies that built a diverse talent attraction and recruitment strategy, and improved upon an existing anti-racism and equity framework. Elizabeth has also held a number of senior leadership roles at organizations throughout Toronto, bringing a wealth of experience to her current position.

Elizabeth is also a PT Instructor at the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies, and the Founder and CEO of EHC Leadership.
