Sol Baik is a Senior Researcher at the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia, leading Virginia’s Demographic Services project and performing in-depth analyses on cognitive impairment in older populations. Previous experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, where efforts focused on cardiovascular disease outcomes and racial disparities in health. Additionally, Sol Baik has taught as an Adjunct Instructor in the MSW program at the University of Maryland School of Social Work and contributed significantly to mental health research in various capacities, including establishing databases and conducting literature reviews. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and both Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Social Welfare from Seoul National University.
