Teresa Cisneros

Teresa Cisneros is the Senior Practice Manager at Wellcome Trust. Teresa has also worked as the Inclusive Practice Lead at Wellcome Collection, and as a Curatorial Fellow at The Showroom. Prior to that, they were Co Director at agency for agency.

Teresa has extensive experience working in the cultural sector, with a focus on Access Diversity and Inclusion. In their role as Inclusive Practice Lead, they worked to reconsider and develop new practices related to inclusion and diversity for systemic and cultural change. Teresa has also given numerous talks on topics such as curatorial pedagogy, art & inequality, and shifting landscapes in curatorial education.

In their current role as Senior Practice Manager, Teresa is responsible for leading and developing the Trust's practice in relation to Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). Teresa is also responsible for ensuring that the Trust meets its legal obligations in relation to EDI, and for promoting best practice across the organisation.

Teresa Cisneros received a bachelor's degree in philosophy and art history from the University of Texas at Austin. Teresa then pursued a career in education, teaching philosophy and art history at the university level.

They work with Gearóid Maguire - Practice Manager, Lilian Hunt - EDIS Lead, and Sophie Demellweek - Senior Practice Officer. Teresa Cisneros reports to Diego Baptista, Head, Research & Funding Equity.
