Vince Danielsen

Chief Executive Officer at Wello Virtual Healthcare

Vince has firsthand understanding of the difference that good care can make for someone. After a hard-won battle with cancer as a teenager, he went on to spend eight years as a Calgary Stampeders receiver, winning Grey Cup Championships in 1998 and 2001. Football showed him the value of growing strong teams, and he learned that people achieve amazing things when they work together.

After football, he turned to his true passion and became a health entrepreneur. The personal care he received as a cancer patient helped him understand just how important the nursing sector was to delivering a new level of care to Canadians. This was a big driver in his founding of our nurse practitioner service, Wello.

Vince is dedicated to delivering new models of innovation to healthcare. As the leader of INLIV (our parent company), he’s responsible for the cross-sharing of innovation learnings with executive teams, showing how innovation and technology can be adapted to an ever-changing workforce. Vince speaks nationally at healthcare and technology conferences. He has spoken at Telus Health (Toronto), Wello Health Lab (Calgary), and the Benefits and Pensions Monitor Conference (Toronto), amongst others.

He also spearheaded the development of iLab, which dedicates space, resources and funding to pilot innovative products and services that change the way Canadians access healthcare. The iLab was responsible for the 2017 launch of INLIV’s newest service, Wello, which provides virtual healthcare for employees across the country.
