Deepak Bangalore Hariyanna has a diverse range of work experience in the software engineering field. Deepak began their career at Alcatel-Lucent as a Project Intern, where they developed an automation framework for Node-B test suites and created Linux-based GUI tools. At Oracle Corporation, they worked as a Software Developer, designing and programming core software applications for managing cellular systems. Deepak also implemented a new telecommunication service feature and conducted testing to improve product flexibility.

Following this, Hariyanna joined Ericsson as a Cloud Computing Research Intern, where they designed and implemented a charging and rating prototype for OpenStack's multi-resources. This prototype generated usage records for billing and account management systems, benefiting Ericsson's internal cloud services.

Hariyanna then transitioned to ON.Lab as a Member of Technical Staff before joining Cisco as a Software Engineer. At Cisco, they played a significant role in developing the network operating system and SDK for Data Center Switches, including the implementation of a hardware abstraction layer and a software development kit for networking features.

In their subsequent role as a Senior Software Engineer at Cisco, Hariyanna designed and implemented several key enhancements, such as the Explicit Congestion Notification feature for datacenter fabric and an enhancement to increase the number of SPAN sessions per switch. Deepak also created features to provide flow-level granularity for SPAN, enabling traffic filtering based on various parameters.

Currently, Hariyanna works at WePay, where they have held multiple positions. Initially joining as a Senior Software Engineer, they designed and implemented a microservice to unify merchant data and led the development of the "Quick Accept" feature, simplifying payment acceptance for SMBs. In their current role as a Staff Software Engineer, they continue to contribute to the enhancement and expansion of the "Quick Accept" feature and implementation of Know Your Customer (KYC) data uplift for legacy merchants.

Throughout their career, Deepak Bangalore Hariyanna has consistently demonstrated their expertise in software engineering, design, implementation, and testing, contributing to the development of innovative solutions in various companies and industries.

Deepak Bangalore Hariyanna began their education in the field of Telecommunications Engineering at R. V. College of Engineering in Bangalore from 2006 to 2010, where they earned their Bachelor's degree. Deepak later pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Southern California from 2012 to 2014.
