Steve Coons

Steve Coons is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in teaching and administrative roles. Currently serving as a Social Science Teacher at West Contra Costa Unified School District since August 2021, Coons instructs AP US Government/Economics and AP World History. Prior experience encompasses roles as District Director of Athletics and High School Principal at Central Kitsap School District, where oversight included staff, programs, and budgets for multiple sports and activities. Coons has also held various teaching positions, focusing on Social Studies, English as a Second Language, and German, across several school districts since starting a career in education in 1991. Academic credentials include a BA in German Language from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from City University of Seattle, and a Clear Teaching Credential from Saint Mary's College of California.
