Julian Wong serves as an Urban Designer at the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority since May 2012, reporting directly to the Chief Project Officer. Responsibilities include providing planning, urban design, and landscape support for the development of WKCD, preparing design briefs, managing proposals and tender processes, overseeing user consultations, and ensuring compliance through submissions and presentations to relevant committees. Additionally, Julian Wong acts as the Secretary to the Planning, Landscape and Urban Design Review Panel and the Signage and Universal Accessibility Taskforce, focusing on enhancing public spaces and ensuring consistency in branding and accessibility across the district. Previous experience includes a role as Senior Urban Planner and Designer at AECOM from December 2004 to May 2012. Julian Wong holds an Executive Leadership Programme degree from the University of Leeds and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Urban Planning from the University of Waterloo.
