Philip Stearns

Philip Stearns has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Philip currently works as a Client Program Director at Weston Solutions, Inc. In their previous role at Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc., they served as a Senior Project Manager, overseeing a $345 million disaster response/ time-critical construction contract for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Prior to that, Philip worked as a Program Manager at The Conti Group and Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. where they had various responsibilities including project management and resource management. Philip also served as a Project Manager and Senior Chemical Engineer at SHAW ENVIRONMENTAL & INFRASTRUCTURE INC, and Project Manager/Senior Project Engineer at International Technology Corporation. Furthermore, Philip gained experience as an Engineering Consultant while self-employed, working with numerous small engineering companies. Philip began their career as a Project Engineer at GMG Associates and Remcor, Inc., where they were involved in design, specifications, and environmental audits.

Philip Stearns completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and French from Carnegie Mellon University from 1984 to 1988. Philip also pursued Chemical Engineering studies at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne from 1986 to 1987. Prior to their college education, they attended Venango Christian High School from 1980 to 1984. In addition, Philip has obtained several certifications, including being a Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers (AAEE) in 2009, a Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) from the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) in 2009, a Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) from The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) in 2008, a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2007, and a Professional Engineer (P.E.) from Pennsylvania in 1995.
