Abou-Bakar Traore

Abou-Bakar Traore has a diverse work experience spanning multiple fields. Abou-Bakar started their career as a Substation Graduate Engineer P&C at Westwood Professional Services in May 2023. In this role, they are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the protection and control systems of electrical substations. Abou-Bakar collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the safe and efficient operation of power transmission and distribution equipment.

Prior to this, Abou-Bakar worked on a Senior Design Project focused on designing a Kiosk at Campbell University from August 2022 to May 2023. Abou-Bakar also gained experience in product management and as a Geek Squad Associate at Best Buy from June 2021 to May 2023.

During the summer of 2021, they worked as a Summer Intern at SAM IT Solutions, gaining practical industry experience.

During their time at Campbell University from 2018 to 2019, Abou-Bakar was involved in several design projects. Abou-Bakar worked on the Fish Tank Project, where they designed and built a fish tank that maintained a set temperature and salinity. Abou-Bakar also contributed to the First Year Design Project, where they researched and built a prototype for an improved insulin pump site applicator. Additionally, they participated in the First Year Robot Project, where they designed, built, and programmed a robot using light sensitivity.

Abou-Bakar Traore graduated from Campbell University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. This was their sole educational experience, spanning from 2017 to 2022.
