David Weiss

David Weiss has worked in the finance industry since 1991. David began their career at UBS as an Associate at SG Warburg. David then worked at Credit Suisse as a Director from 1996 to 1994. In 2007, they moved to Broadpoint Securities Group, Inc. as a Managing Director. From 2009 to 2014, they worked at Seven Hills Partners as a Managing Director. In 2014, they joined Yapstone as President, Chief Commercial Officer, and VP of Corporate and Business Development. In this role, they scaled the travel and real estate payments business from $70m to $200m+, and was responsible for partnerships, business development, strategy, corporate development, key roadmap initiatives, int'l expansion, payment operations, finance, risk management, and customer service. David also raised $150m in capital, sold two businesses, negotiated and structured a key joint venture, and served as interim CFO. In 2020, they founded an advisory business focused on Travel & Hospitality, FinTech, PropTech, and Sustainability and served as CEO and Owner. In 2021, they became a Board Member and U.S. FinTech Advisor at UNIPaaS. Currently, they are the Chief Operating Officer at Whimstay.

David Weiss attended Phillips Exeter Academy from 1984 to 1987. David then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government at Harvard University, which they completed in 1991.
