Maria Carolina Duran Chacon

Maria Carolina Duran Chacon is a legal and compliance manager with extensive experience in various legal roles across multiple sectors, particularly in environmental law, hydrocarbons, and corporate governance. Currently serving as the Legal and Compliance Manager for Colombia and LATAM REED+ at Wildlife Works LATAM, Maria leads the legal coordination and represents the company in various legal matters. Previous positions include legal advisor roles at the Comisión de Regulación de Energía y Gas and Agencia Nacional de Hidrocarburos, as well as a senior corporate attorney at Biomax Colombia GNE. Maria holds multiple specialized degrees, including in commercial law, mining, and environmental law, and recently completed a Master of Compliance Officer from CEUPE - European Business School. Throughout their career, Maria has demonstrated a strong ability to lead legal teams, mitigate legal risks, and provide comprehensive legal counsel across a range of issues.
