Joshua Harper

Joshua Harper is an accomplished conductor and educator currently serving as the Director of Choral Activities at Wilkes University since August 2023, where responsibilities include leading the University Chorale and Chamber Singers, and instructing various music courses. As Artistic Director of the Choral Society of Northeast Pennsylvania since July 2024, Joshua Harper focuses on providing quality performances and promoting choral music education. Additionally, Joshua Harper has been a Guest Conductor for the Arizona Philharmonic since May 2021 and founded the Quartz Ensemble as Artistic Director. Previous positions include Associate Professor of Choral Music at Yavapai College and various conducting roles at institutions such as Indiana University, Williston Northampton School, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Joshua Harper holds a Doctor of Music degree in Choral Conducting from Indiana University and has degrees in Choral Conducting and Vocal Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Lipscomb University.
