Thomas Osugi

Thomas Osugi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Thomas is currently employed as a Staff Software Engineer at Willow Servicing since 2022. Previously, they worked at Snapdocs as a Senior Software Engineer from 2020 to 2022, where they served as the technical lead on the eNotes service team, handling the processing of electronic promissory notes. At VMware, Thomas worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff from 2019 to 2020, contributing as a full-stack engineer on Pivotal Tracker and as a Labs engineer on KesselRun. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at Pivotal Software, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer and Anchor engineer from 2015 to 2020, where they played a crucial role in developing and leading teams for innovative projects. Thomas also has experience serving as a Volunteer Coordinator and Treasurer at the JET Alumni Association Chicago, organizing events and managing finances for the organization. Thomas has worked as a Software Engineer at Narrative Science and NEC Sphere, contributing to localization, design, and prototyping projects. Thomas started their career as an Assistant Language Teacher at the Japan Ministry of Education and served as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Thomas also gained technical experience as a Technical Intern at Intel.

Thomas Osugi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1999 to 2003. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the same university from 2003 to 2005.
