Lillian Magidow has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Lillian began their career as an Assistant Counselor and Assistant Cook at YouthCARE, leading youth crews at a multicultural residential camp. Lillian then worked as an Interpretive Naturalist at the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, where they created educational curricula and taught environmental science courses.

Magidow also served as a Program Coordinator at STEP-UP Achieve Minneapolis, leading outreach and recruitment efforts for at-risk youth mentorship programs. At the University of Minnesota, they worked as an Undergraduate Laboratory Assistant in two different labs, conducting research and assisting in various scientific procedures.

Lillian further expanded their knowledge and skills as a Graduate Research Assistant at Cornell University before joining the Minnesota Department of Agriculture as an Agricultural Technician. In this role, they focused on monitoring the presence of the Emerald Ash Borer beetle and educating the public on preventing its spread.

Magidow then transitioned to the Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture as an Information Manager, where they optimized the usability and design of their website and maintained a database of local food producers.

Their most recent work experience is with WinField United, starting as a Technical Lead and progressing to various management roles. As a Research Manager, they managed a spray application research program and expanded its use for evaluating new products and supporting business decisions. Lillian later became a Senior Research Manager and led a team responsible for product development, implementing process improvements and achieving successful product launches. In their current role as Director of Innovation and Business Development, they oversee a wide range of innovative projects focused on carbon sequestration, regenerative agriculture, automation, and more, serving the retailers and growers of the future.

Lillian Magidow obtained a Master of Science degree in Soil and Crop Sciences with a specialization in Weed Science and Management from Cornell University. Lillian attended Cornell University from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, Lillian Magidow completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Plant Science from the University of Minnesota, where they studied from 2002 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Lillian also obtained a certification in Building Business Acumen from Acumen Learning in October 2022.
