Freek Teunen

Freek Teunen has a diverse work experience in the field of technology, innovation, and virtual reality. Freek is currently serving as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Wintor, where they are responsible for marketing, sales strategy, and leading the team towards commercial success.

Prior to their current role, Freek worked as a Publisher and Writer at Very Real Publishing, where they focused on VR-related content. Freek also co-founded PlaygroundVR, a company that enables children in hospitals to experience virtual playgrounds.

Freek has experience as a Business Developer at VR Owl, where they helped clients integrate virtual reality and augmented reality in their businesses. Freek also served as the Chapter President of VRARA Netherlands (VR/AR Association Nederland).

In addition to their VR-related work, Freek has worked as a Creative Technologist at OCDLab, where they contributed to creating valuable concepts for clients. Freek co-founded MedKitVR, which offers VR hardware and consulting for implementing VR applications in various fields. Freek was also one of the co-founders of Zash B.V., a company that developed an innovative machine learning-based web app for brainstorming.

Before venturing into VR technology, Freek worked at Efteling, where they were a member of the Virtual Droomvlucht team and contributed to the execution of a proposed plan. Freek also interned at Efteling's Strategy and Research department during their graduation project.

Throughout their career, Freek has gained expertise in marketing, sales, project management, and communication. Their work experience demonstrates their passion for leveraging technology to create innovative solutions and improve various industries.

Freek Teunen attended Veluws College Walterbosch from 2007 to 2013 where they obtained their high school degree in Atheneum NG&NT. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Technology at the University of Twente from 2013 to 2018. Additionally, Freek Teunen attended Eindhoven University of Technology from 2017 to 2018 to study Innovation Management within the field of Business Administration and Management, General. In terms of certifications, Freek Teunen obtained the Basics of Blockchain certification from Udemy in June 2017, the Developing Innovative Ideas for New Companies certification from Coursera in November 2014, and the Certificate in Advanced English Level C1 from the University of Cambridge in June 2012.
