Matthew Rand

Matthew Rand has a diverse work experience in various industries starting from 2014. Matthew has worked as a Lead Safety Data Scientist at Wisk, where they established safety processes and procedures. Prior to that, they worked at Boeing in roles such as Systems Safety Engineer and Composite Fabrication Engineer. Matthew has also worked as a Materials Review Board Engineer at Boeing. Before joining Boeing, Matthew worked as a Researcher on a NASA grant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Matthew has also held leadership positions at the Rensselaer Union and the Inter-Fraternity Council. Additionally, they have interned at Cooper Crouse-Hinds, Ephesus Lighting, CooperSurgical, and worked as a Tutor at Kumon. Matthew also worked as a Maintenance Assistant at Quinnipiac University.

Matthew Rand attended Cheshire High School from 2011 to 2015 and obtained their High School Diploma in General Studies. Matthew then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2015 to 2018. In 2019, they earned a Certificate in Structural Engineering from UCLA Extension and another Certificate from MITx Courses, though the field of study for the latter is unspecified. Matthew also earned additional certifications, including the Materials Review Board certification from Boeing in 2019 and the TIPS Responsible Alcohol Service certification from Tips Alcohol in 2017. In 2020, they obtained a Certificate in Aircraft Composite Materials & Manufacturing from the University of Washington. Currently, Matthew is pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Analytics at the Georgia Institute of Technology, with an expected completion date in 2024.
