Izzy Medrano

Izzy Medrano has extensive work experience as a concept artist and illustrator. They began their career in 2005 as a Character and Creature Concept Artist, and later worked as an Illustrator for Wizards of the Coast. In 2014, they joined Section Studios as a Concept Artist and Story Developer, and also worked as a Concept Artist for AGBO in 2019. Izzy Medrano served as an Art Director for Hasbro's Magic: The Gathering the Animated Series from 2021 to 2022, leading a team of artists and managing animation studios. In 2020, they worked as an HD Studio Art Director for Amber, contributing to the development of an original IP. Izzy Medrano also taught Concept Art and Illustration as part of The Logic of Light & Color Series from 2015 to 2020. They have also worked as a Twitch Affiliate, hosting painting and chat sessions on their live stream. Currently, Izzy Medrano is serving as the Incubation Creative Director at Sword & Wand, Inc.

Izzy Medrano earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Concept Art/ Visual Development from ArtCenter College of Design. This educational journey took place from 2001 to 2005. In 2010, Izzy attended Schell Sculpture Studio for a brief period, focusing on Creature and character sculpture. No specific degree was obtained during this time.
