We are looking for a Senior Contracts Analyst to join our Legal department who is looking to join an international and fast paced company.

Areas of responsibility

In your role, you will:

  • Support the development of contractual responses to ITT’s and proposal requests from Clients

  • Qualify clients T&C’s if provided, in line with company procedures and best practice.

  • Work with the technical team to develop contractual responses in line with scope of work.

  • Coordinate input from all Company stakeholders including Compliance, Legal, Finance, Insurance, Tax, Security etc.

  • Coordinate and support obtaining approval via the Company Risk Review process.

  • Ensure any agreed contractual position is approved in line with the Delegation of Authority matrix.

  • Coordinate and manage submissions and review meetings as required.

  • Coordinate all support required from wider team.

  • Maintain approval records and close out actions.

  • Support and manage all activities related to administration of contracts including risk identification, risk mitigation and risk management.

  • Negotiate contract terms with clients in line with Company contract protocols and best practice.

  • Liaise with Group Legal to seek advice and guidance on protocol issues or legal jurisdictions.

  • Manage all contract administration including the contracts database.

  • Develop and negotiate confidentiality agreements.

  • Work with the commercial and operational management team to ensure that service delivery is compliant with contractual terms.

  • Support the subcontracts team in ensuring that risk is appropriately flowed down to the relevant subcontracts on a back-to-back basis.

  • Assist in the resolution of contractual claims and disputes.

  • Promote consistency of approach and the adoption of best practice throughout all regions.

  • Maintain adherence to strong contracting processes and procedures while working.

  • Gain a full understanding of company procedures and processes and follow these principles in all aspects of the role.

Your background

You should hold a legal or QS degree. You should thrive in an international environment and speak and write English fluently. You will have a strong drive and take initiative and responsibility for your work and be motivated by creating excellent results through teamwork. It is essential that you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with clients and colleagues effectively. For this role, it is a must that you fulfil the following experience:

  • 5 years plus experience
  • Experience in an engineering, construction or energy firm is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of key contracting principles.
  • Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating terms and conditions.
  • Experience working within an active and lively operational team.
  • Ability to work independently and have excellent communication, listening and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under own initiative and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels.
