Alan Chung is an accomplished entrepreneur and board member with extensive experience in technology and business leadership. Currently serving as a Trustee at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and a Venture Partner at ER Accelerator, Chung also holds board positions at ecoAmerica and WildAid. Notably, Chung founded and led Perka, a mobile loyalty platform recognized by Fast Company as one of the World's Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Local in 2013, and Zenbe, awarded Best Email Innovation of 2009 by About. Previous roles include Senior Director at AOL, where Chung advocated for dynamic user interfaces, and a founding position at iAmaze, focusing on innovative web applications. Chung began career as a Senior Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems, contributing to early Java applications, and co-founded Lighthouse Design, which became a leader in software development for the NeXT computer.
