Principal, Corporate Affairs at Woodside Energy

Kristy Quintal has a diverse work experience in the field of corporate affairs and communications. Kristy currently holds the role of Principal in Corporate Affairs at Woodside Energy since March 2023. Prior to this, Kristy worked at BHP from 2016 to 2023, where they held various roles such as Communications Specialist and Specialist in Corporate Affairs for North America. During their time at BHP, they led communications for BHP's Petroleum Business in Trinidad and Tobago, the Gulf of Mexico, and Mexico. Kristy also had the opportunity to represent BHP at the Trinidad and Tobago Energy Conference 2019, where they played a key role in implementing the first all-women's panel at the event. Before joining BHP, they were involved with TTEITI as part of the Steering Committee from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, Kristy worked as a Communications Specialist at the Ministry of the Attorney General Trinidad and Tobago from 2007 to 2010, and as a Publicity Officer at Oscar Francois Ltd from 2005 to 2007.

Kristy Quintal received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, where they studied from 2002 to 2005. Kristy later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Strategic Communications from the University of Maryland Global Campus, a program they started in 2021 and is expected to complete in 2023. Prior to their university education, Kristy attended St Francois Girls College in Port of Spain, Trinidad, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in "IS-100.C: Introduction to Incident Command System" from FEMA in January 2023 and "Corporate Protocol for the Business Professional" from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business in April 2011.
