James Miranda

James Miranda has a diverse work experience in the fields of contracts and procurement. James currently holds the position of Principal Project Contracts & Procurement at Woodside Energy, starting in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at TotalEnergies as part of their Contracts and Procurement team from September 2019 to November 2021.

Before joining TotalEnergies, James worked at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation as a Contracts and Procurement specialist for their Mozambique Project from August 2018 to November 2021. James'sresponsibilities included managing internal customer and contractor relations, negotiating change orders, attending project meetings, identifying and mitigating project-based risks, and collaborating with legal and other departments.

James also gained experience as an Associate Contract Analyst at Cameron LNG from May 2017 to July 2018, and as a Subcontract Coordinator and later as a Project Contract Advisor at Saipem from September 2014 to May 2017. During their time at Saipem, they successfully negotiated contracts, administered their execution, managed liquidated damages claims, conducted audits, and provided legal training.

Additionally, James has worked as a Summer Associate at Chance & McCann in 2012 and at Rate Counsel of NJ in the same year. James'sresponsibilities at Rate Counsel of NJ included preparing memorandums on energy bills, attending hearings and sessions, reviewing litigation briefs, and staying up to date with current energy topics.

James Miranda attended Rutgers Law School from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2009, they attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government. In terms of additional certifications, James obtained a certification in Negotiation Mastery from Harvard Business School Online in June 2023.
