Tim Ong, Ph.D, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in innovation, strategy, and management. Tim is currently serving as the Head of Innovation, Growth, and Commercial at Woodside Energy. Prior to this, Tim worked at BHP, where they held positions such as Head of Innovation and Continuous Improvement, Head of Innovation, and Manager of Innovation Strategy and Performance. Tim also worked at Chevron as a Multiphase Measurement Advisor and Innovation Advisor. Tim has previous experience at Baker Hughes, where they held positions such as Technical Support Manager, Senior Manager of Workforce Plan and Data Management, Product Line Manager, and R&D Manager. Early in their career, Tim worked as a Flow Measurement Research Associate at QuantX Wellbore Instrumentation. Throughout their career, Tim has demonstrated expertise in strategy, innovation, and technical support in the energy industry.

Tim Ong, Ph.D (he/him) has an extensive education history. Tim began their academic journey at The University of Manchester, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from 1995 to 1998. Following that, they enrolled at the University of Surrey for a Master's degree in Medical Physics, which they completed in 1999. Tim then proceeded to the University of London, where they focused on Physics and earned their Ph.D. in 2004.

In addition to their academic achievements, Tim Ong has also obtained several certifications. In November 2021, they completed a course titled "How to Speak Up Against Racism at Work" offered by LinkedIn. Similarly, in March 2021, they successfully completed a certification program in "Unconscious Bias" from LinkedIn. Furthermore, Tim obtained the certification of "Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager" in December 2021, which was provided by Scaled Agile, Inc.
