Andrew Mullen is a research professional with a strong background in climate science and remote sensing, currently serving as a Research Assistant III at Woodwell Climate Research Center since October 2021. Responsibilities include enhancing monitoring methods for Arctic ecosystems, developing numerical models to assess climate impacts on carbon budgets, and managing large geospatial workflows in cloud-computing environments. Mullen has experience in various research roles, including as a Graduate Research Assistant at Montana State University-Bozeman, where innovative techniques for validating satellite observations of snow properties were developed. Previous internships at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and NASA's AREN project further contributed to expertise in remote sensing and data analysis. Mullen holds a Master of Science in Earth Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Montana State University-Bozeman.
