Gordon Darling

Gordon Darling is a seasoned professional in sustainability risk management, currently serving as Director of Corporate Performance & Accountability at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) since March 2024. In this role, Gordon focuses on helping organizations measure and manage risks related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. Prior to this position, Gordon was self-employed, providing technical reviews and developing materials for improved ESG risk management practices. Gordon has extensive experience at PwC, first as a Sustainability Risk Consultant from April 2022 to December 2023, where support was provided to clients in developing sustainability-related risk management solutions, and earlier as a Credit Risk Consultant from September 2011 to April 2022. Additionally, Gordon held a role at WBCSD from August 2019 to April 2022, leading the implementation of ESG-focused risk management solutions. Gordon began the career at Ernst & Young as a Credit Risk Consultant from 2005 to 2011. Gordon holds a Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from The University of Edinburgh.
