Reshma Carmel Francy

Associate Director, Policy Pathfinding And Trilemma at World Energy Council

Reshma Carmel Francy is an experienced professional in energy policy and climate change, currently serving as Associate Director for Policy Pathfinding and Trilemma at the World Energy Council since June 2021. Prior to this role, Reshma worked at the Ministry of Energy of the UAE, holding the positions of Project Manager for Energy Strategies and Policies and Senior Climate Change Engineer from March 2015 to April 2021, where responsibilities included developing the National Energy Strategy 2050 and contributing to the UAE's first nationally determined contributions under the UNFCCC. Reshma's earlier experience includes serving as a Technical Officer at the Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence and a Research Assistant at the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology. Reshma holds a Master of Science from the Masdar Institute and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science and Government at the Technical University of Munich.
