Yasmine (Anwar) Long, MPH, currently serves as a Technical Officer in the Health Promotion Department's Enhanced Well-being Unit at the World Health Organization since May 2020. Prior to this role, Yasmine was a Consultant for the Center for Global Development, where support was provided for research on the indirect health impacts of COVID-19, and at UNICEF, where assistance was offered to enhance programming results in alignment with the organization’s Gender Action Plan. Experience also includes serving as a Research Manager at the International Rescue Committee, managing data collection for a gender-based violence prevention program in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Columbia University, an Executive Education Short Course in Strategic Project Management for Development from the Geneva Graduate Institute, a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Portuguese from Tulane University, and a study abroad program in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil.
